The team at Triple Zero Victoria is deeply committed to the community it serves and is among the most dedicated and highly skilled in its field.About The RoleThe Manager, Business Intelligence is a pivotal leader within the Governance, Strategy, and Intelligence Department, playing an integral role in shaping and executing data-driven strategies that drive business performance. In this position, the Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of Intelligence Specialists who proactively collect, analyze, and interpret data from diverse sources to deliver actionable insights that support business decision-making.As a key driver of strategic intelligence, the Manager, Business Intelligence ensures the seamless operation of the team, managing day-to-day activities while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. The Manager provides guidance, mentorship, and expert advice to the team, empowering them to develop and implement impactful data strategies that align with organisational goals.In addition, the Manager works closely with both internal and external stakeholders, facilitating the effective sharing of intelligence and promoting a culture of transparency and integrity in the collection and management of information.Day To Day Responsibilities IncludeLead and manage the team responsible for producing key intelligence services, reports, and insights for internal and external stakeholders, including high-quality commentary and advice for the Emergency Management Commissioner, Inspector General, and Executive Leadership Team.Support the development and implementation of the Intelligence and enterprise intelligence framework, ensuring alignment with TZV’s organisational objectives and strategic goals.Coordinate and deliver strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence advice to the organisation and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.Oversee the production of high-quality, evidence-based intelligence analysis, ensuring priority-driven insights and products are delivered to support decision-making.Lead the development of organisational intelligence capabilities, embedding evidence-based intelligence and information-sharing practices across the agency.Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, State, and intelligence agencies, while managing MOUs and information-sharing protocols, ensuring best practices in data analysis, Power BI reporting, and intelligence security.About YouThe preferred candidate will have a proven ability to lead and manage a team of high performing subject matter and technical experts, as well as demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and high order interpersonal skills.Additionally, the preferred candidate will have the following skills and experience:Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., politics, criminology, social sciences, computer science, mathematical science) with considerable experience in a similar role; post-graduate qualifications and experience in the public sector, emergency services, law enforcement, or regulatory environments are desirable.Senior-level experience as an intelligence manager or specialist, with extensive expertise in reporting, analysis, and business intelligence, including the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data.Proven ability to write large, complex reports, develop succinct intelligence briefings, and analyse complex data sets in various formats, including relational and non-relational, using relevant statistical methods.Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams of subject matter experts (SMEs) to meet deadlines and complex reporting tasks, and expertise in developing BI/AI applications using Power BI.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, and a demonstrated ability to convert complex data into easy-to-understand business insights for end-users.Technical expertise in computer programming, statistical methods, modelling, and data science business intelligence techniques, with experience in Azure, MS Fabric, SQL Server, Operational Management Tools, and qualitative analytics or OSINT platforms.What We Can Offer YouYou will be supporting a critical service to the Victorian community and will be rewarded with a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements and employee benefits including:Employee assistance program for employees and eligible family members.Discounted health insurance, banking services and gym membership.‘Memberlink’ discount card, accepted by 1,000s of retailers and services providers.Free staff parking at all our sites.Salary packaging options after an initial service period.Triple Zero Victoria is committed to the principles of equal opportunity, and diversity and inclusion for all.
