We are seeking confident and passionate female Disability Support Workers to join our In Home Support & Accommodation team Millicent & Kingston!
In this role, you will work in a variety of areas from In Home Support, SIL/Accommodation, group settings and occasionally offering support in the community. We are looking for candidates who have a relaxed and understanding approach to their role with excellent communication skills. This role will require availability to work passive or active overnight shifts with the flexibility to work early mornings and short shifts.

You’ll have:
* The willingness to learn new skills on the job and through training, Certificate III Individual support advantageous - students welcomed.
* Passion for health and safety demonstrated through maintaining First Aid, CPR & Safe Environments for Children & Young People
* NDIS Worker Check & Working with Children Check
* Ideally have experience working with specialised Support needs e.g. PEG feed, positive behaviour, Huntington's, Dysphagia, infection control and non-verbal communication.
The principle duties of this role include but are not limited to:
* Providing a Person Centred Active Support Model which promotes individuals living with a disability being engaged in their own lives.
* Assist clients with their personal and health care and mobility needs by pushing wheelchairs, undertaking wheelchair transfers and use of hydraulic lifters and a range of other manual tasks
* Assist with household/venue duties including cleaning, washing, ironing, shopping and meal preparation
* Carry out all tasks and functions in accordance with relevant Standards, Codes and organisational policies and procedures to ensure service operations reflect consistency in applications and processes
* Ensure client notes are accurate and are kept up to date
