1. 12 month engagement + extensions

3. Must have a NV1 security clearance
4. Candidate must be an Australian citizen
Duties include
5. Assess information from various sources, undertake research and conduct interviews including security assessment interviews at NV2 level.
6. Perform detailed analysis and assessment, and prepare recommendations in high-level written report form.
7. Providing policy and related procedural advice regarding security clearance requirements as outlined in the Australian Government’s Protective Security Policy Framework.
8. Undertaking a variety of administrative duties to support security clearance processes.
9. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
10. Support the performance and quality of the department’s approach to vetting assessments, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
11. Contribute to improving the efficiency and rigour of the section’s procedures for conducting security vetting and providing advice on security vetting matters.
Qualifications
Essential:
12. Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security) and knowledge of the Australian Government’s Protective Security Policy Framework.
General attributes
13. Strong oral and written communication skills;
14. Excellent organisational and time management skills;
15. Ability to work proactively and with minimal supervision.
16. The ability to think strategically and demonstrate sound judgement and initiative.
17. Respond positively to change, support others and commit to action.
18. Apply technical knowledge, expertise and skills.
Desirable:
19. Experience working in Government or a similar high-security environment.
20. Experience in Quality assurance or training in a security vetting environment.
