Position Information McCallums Hill Public School is located in South Western Sydney and currently has an enrolment of approximately 330 students, which includes 4 support classes. The school caters for a diverse student population with 87% of students from a language background other than English. Selection Criteria 1. Approval to teach primary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education. 2. Proven experience in creating an engaging and inclusive environment that focuses on high expectations, positive classroom behaviour and wellbeing practices to enhance student learning. 3. Capacity to deliver innovative lessons to support students in learning across the curriculum whilst managing the role of Teacher Librarian. 4. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a school library using the Oliver Library Management system, including budget, technology and resource management. 5. Evidence of highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to work as part of collaborative team, enhance practice and build positive and authentic relationships with students, staff, parents/carers and the wider community. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity. Special Notes This is a permanent part-time position for 4 days per week 0.8 FTE (Full-time equivalent) If applicable, engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months.
