You’ll oversee teams, ensuring optimal service levels while balancing risk, performance, and lifecycle costs.Please click here to view the Position Description.What Your Day Will Look LikeDevelop Asset Management Plans to sustain asset life through operations, maintenance, and upgrades.Conduct root cause failure analysis and identify optimal solutions.Support condition assessment programs for active and passive assets.Align asset planning with technical, strategic, compliance, and growth considerations.Support the development of and/or ensure adherence to relevant Water Industry standards and guidelines.Act as the System Process Owner of the Tech1 Water Works Management system allocating business requirements.Contribute to the development of the annual operations budget process.Prepare major OPEX project costings for budget inclusion.To Be Successful, You’ll NeedDemonstrated extensive experience in strategic asset management principles and replacement profiling, including the development of asset management plans and business cases that balance performance, cost, and risk to customer service levels.Knowledge of water and sewerage plant equipment and network passive assets.Experience in maintenance management and developing planned preventative maintenance procedures.Record of achievement in resolving complex asset reliability issues.Ability to provide strategic and operational advice/reports to management/staff.Experience in the use of GIS and Maintenance Management Systems as well as basic MS suite applications.Qualifications & LicencesTertiary qualifications (AQF Level 7 or higher) in an engineering discipline or equivalent.White Card or equivalent.What’s Nice To HaveExtensive experience in the water industry or in a similar role with asset management.Knowledge and experience of applying asset management principles and practices to a relevant asset management standard.Professional Certificate in Asset Management.Benefits Of Working With CouncilCommitted to providing quality services to our community, we strongly support an inclusive and values-driven culture, recognising your individual skills, knowledge, and talent.
