Be Part of Something Bigger: The Role As an Intake & Engagement Officer, you will be at the forefront of building meaningful relationships within the disability community. You'll serve as a key point of contact for individuals, families, and stakeholders, facilitating the intake process, expanding our network, and driving the growth of our services. Your Key Responsibilities: Build Strong Connections: Engage with clients, families, and stakeholders to ensure every interaction is positive and supportive. Manage Intake Processes: Facilitate and streamline the intake process, assess eligibility, and provide accurate information on our services. Drive Business Development: Identify and cultivate new opportunities, maintain relationships with sector providers, and contribute to Breakaway's growth strategy. Engage the Community: Represent Breakaway at events, promote our services, and assist in organising the quarterly Community of Practice (CoP). Support Strategic Initiatives: Research grant opportunities, contribute to marketing efforts, and enhance Breakaway's Annual Engagement Plan. What You Bring to the Table: Engagement & Networking Skills: Proven ability to build strong connections within the disability sector or related fields. Project Management: Strong planning and implementation skills with a collaborative mindset. Interpersonal Excellence: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. Organisational Skills: High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Computer Proficiency: Competent in using software applications and information management systems. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of 2 years in client-facing roles within disability services or similar industries. Diploma (or higher) in Business, Marketing, Engagement, or Social Science (highly regarded). Familiarity with disability services, challenges faced by individuals and families, and NDIS standards. Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain). Experience in grant writing, marketing, and community engagement.
