About the role
We are looking for an experienced Emergency Services Supervisor to provide leadership to a team of Emergency Services Officers to support the standardisation and capability growth of emergency services.
This role is a great opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills by developing, leading and coaching a team of emergency services professionals. Reporting to the Manager HSEC, you will:
* Committed to promoting a safe culture according to the Rio Tinto values and policy.
* Ensure Emergency Services resources (people, equipment, policies, procedures, standards and plans) meet business needs, based on risk principles and legislative requirements.
* Develop and maintain effective networks through collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Define performance expectations for Emergency Services Officers, monitor performance including conducting formal appraisals and implementing corrective and improvement initiatives.
* Identify risks associated with emergencies and liaise with stakeholders and customers to develop action plans and implement controls (identify areas for improvement and execute business improvement methodologies).
* Lead and manage Critical Risk Management (CRM) within Emergency Services.
What you’ll bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
* Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance).
* Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue.
* Respond to Wildfire.
* Alcohol and Other Drugs Collector.
* A current C class drivers licence.
* Ability to lead and manage people.
* Experience in development and implementation of emergency service policy, procedures, plans and protocols.
* Experience in communicating and influencing across multiple leadership levels.
It will also be beneficial if you have:
* Postgraduate Certificate or Bachelor of Business.
* Bachelor of Paramedical Science or Nursing.
* AIIMS Incident Management.
* Business Improvement certification (e.g. lean six sigma).
