About the Team:
The Deloitte Engineering offering provides services to clients across the full lifecycle of software delivery that drives enterprise value by combining an engineering mindset with a product-centric model and business insights. Capability areas include:

This position sits within Application Modernisation capability.
What will your day to day look like;
* Client Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and being the trusted advisor, advising on modernizing strategies and technology approaches to meet client's business goals.
* Business Acumen: Build modernisation capabilities, framework and approach that are implementable onto different organisations in different sections, solving client business requirements.
* Project Leadership: Lead modernization projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
* Cloud Architecture Design:Help clients design scalable, cloud-based systems, transitioning from legacy systems to modern systems.
* Technology Advisory: Guide clients in choosing the right technology, tools, and processes to improve performance and scalability whilst solving client business requirements.
* Application Development & Enhancement:Oversee the design and development of modern applications, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements. Lead efforts to improve code quality, optimize development workflows, and implement best practices.
* Mentorship and Leadership: Support and mentor client teams, helping them apply best practices in cloud design, DevSecOps, and Application Development.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with product owners and engineering teams to define project needs and deliver solutions that solve business challenges.
* Innovation and Best Practices: Advise on new technologies to improve efficiency, streamline development, and drive business results.
* Performance Optimization: Offer advice on improving cloud infrastructure and applications for better performance, scalability, and cost control.
Required Skills:
* Technical Expertise: Around 20 years of experience in software engineering, with a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, application design, and modern architectures.
* Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including cloud migration, service architecture, and integration. Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale cloud migrations and manage complex cloud environments.
* Microservices & Modern Architectures: Proven expertise in transitioning from monolithic to microservices architectures, implementing event-driven systems, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless applications.
* DevSecOps & Automation: Deep knowledge of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipeline development, infrastructure as code (IaC), and container orchestration tools.
* Technology & Tools: Proficient experience in modern development frameworks, languages (Java, Python, .NET, etc.), and tools for cloud management, performance monitoring, and automation. Experience with cloud-native tools and serverless architectures is a plus.
* Consulting & Leadership: Strong consulting experience, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to manage client relationships, deliver high-quality engagements, and effectively manage expectations.
* Problem Solving & Innovation: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions that provide tangible value to clients.
* Business Growth: Ability to build capabilities and structure technology approach that are implementable on clients organisation meeting their business requirements / outcomes.
* Agile Methodologies: Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum and Kanban. Strong ability to deliver iterative, high-quality results while adapting to changing client needs.
