About the role We are looking for experienced Civil Leading Hands and Supervisors to join our team at GNM Group QLD in Townsville, Queensland. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in overseeing construction projects and ensuring high-quality outcomes. As a leader on site, you will be responsible for managing work crews, coordinating tasks, and liaising with clients to deliver exceptional results. What you'll be doing Supervise and coordinate construction crews to complete tasks safely and efficiently Oversee the implementation of construction plans and specifications Manage the allocation of resources, including equipment and materials Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and company policies Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address concerns and provide progress updates Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise on site Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to foster their development What we're looking for Significant experience as a Civil Leading Hand or Supervisor Pipe Laying experience - water mains, stormwater or sewer Concrete experience - thrust blocks, headwalls, bandage joints, pits, manholes & footpath patches Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams Commitment to safety and a demonstrated track record of implementing safety protocols Relevant qualifications or certifications, such as a Certificate IV in Construction or equivalent About us GNM Group QLD is a leading construction company that has been delivering high-quality projects in Queensland for over 15 years.
