Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire.
CGH is located in the City of Sale which is 215 km east of Melbourne. The City of Sale is an ideal access point for the magnificent Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach and the Victorian Alps.
CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield).
Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit and oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation. We offer a range of clinical and non-clinical roles in nursing, medical, allied health, community care, administration and pharmacy just to name a few.
About Department
GHS Consulting Rooms in Sale house five full-time specialists and a substantial number of visiting specialists. Currently, there is a major development program in progress aimed at expanding and diversifying the clinical services offered. These services are delivered by medical consultants as well as allied health practitioners.
About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) at CGHS will provide top-quality evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with the Practice Manager at Consulting Rooms, under the supervision of the General Manager of Medical Services. The RN takes accountability for their practice, guided by their education and proficiency level. It is expected that the RN will exhibit core nursing values such as patient-centred care, trust, and respect in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and visitors. Additionally, the RN in the Consulting Rooms setting will offer support and collaborate with the Reception staff.
Duties
4. Ensure a delivery of a high standard of patient/client care.
5. Provide support to Fulltime and Visiting Specialist Doctors, Practice Manager and Reception staff.
6. Work as part of a large multidisciplinary team that provides services across a broad range of specialist outpatient support services
About You
7. Current Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia Registration (APHRA) as a Registered Nurse
8. Experience demonstrating capability to work in a complex environment.
