FIFO Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME)

Leidos Airborne Solutions Australia provides aerial surveillance services under contract to the Australian Border Force and a search-and-rescue capability across nearly 10 percent of the earth's surface under Australian Maritime Safety Authority.
Responsibilities:
1. Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero-harm and incident/injury-free environment through active participation in all relevant safety programs.
2. Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation, and certification are carried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals, and responsible CAMO requirements.
3. Plan, distribute, and oversee scheduled maintenance.
4. Perform, implement, and maintain any required shift/task handovers.
5. Supervise maintenance personnel and support apprentices when required.
6. Ensure all maintenance certified is carried out in accordance with maintenance data.
7. Ensure Complex Maintenance Tasks are certified by an authorized Certifying Employee.
8. Ensure maintenance and associated maintenance records are completed and certified correctly by an authorized Certifying Employee prior to CRS issue.
9. Ensure Critical Maintenance Tasks are completed with applicable control procedure prior to issue of a CRS.
10. Ensure maintenance is completed, certified, or deferred in line with the MOE prior to CRS issue.
11. Responsible for the general condition and upkeep of facilities.
12. Compliance to FRMS and WHSMSM policies and procedures.
13. Perform any other duties as directed by the SBE.
Minimum Requirements:
* Experienced LAME B1 or dual licensed.
* Heavy and Line maintenance experience.
* Hold a DHC8 Classic Type rating.
* Current First Aid Certificate.
* Confined Space training.
* DHC8 heavy and Line experience.
