Main Responsibilities:
1. Complete installation and commissioning of vacuum pumps and vacuum systems for all VT brands including Edwards, Leybold and Atlas Copco Vacuum with designated region of responsibility.
2. Provide service support, both in-house and field based service, for all products VT brands including Edwards, Leybold and Atlas Copco Vacuum.
3. Delivery of technical support to internal and external stakeholders, including failure analysis, good vacuum practice, safety etc.
4. Assist in developing the region with the aim of increasing service revenue and performance, whilst providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
5. Promote Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Contract Maintenance (CM) contracts.
6. Ensuring that all field service activities are conducted within the boundaries of VTS health and safety policies. Risk control elements covering all relevant aspects of the field service role must be adhered to at all times.
7. Able to provide accurate, factual reports to the team leader or technical support personnel to enable informed decisions to be made on a course of action to resolve product issues.
8. Able to use SAP to accurately capture service-related information as determined by the scope of responsibility for creation of field service notifications and orders, through to completion.
9. Arrange de-contamination of pumps and equipment using local contractors if and where required.
10. Provide on-site and in-house product training for all stakeholders.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 2 years of field service experience in a relevant or related industry, ideally with a strong customer facing experience, vacuum equipment service and repairs, and service co-ordination experience.
2. Recognised mechanical / electronics trade or similar preferred.
3. Experience with VT branded equipment (Edwards / Leybold and Atlas Copco) or similar competitor equipment highly advantageous.
4. Good understanding of vacuum applications.
5. Previous experience with electronic vacuum gauges and instrumentation control systems, including installation, calibration and diagnosis via required communications protocol.
6. Experience with SAP or C4C CRM will be an advantage but not essential.
7. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
8. Possess very positive attitude and excellent customer relationship.
