The Loss Prevention Coordinator is a key high-level position in the Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs).
This position will be based at our Melbourne Fulfilment Centre (FC) in Dandenong South.
Loss Prevention Coordinators operate on the front lines to efficiently and effectively provide security as a service to protect people, operations, brand, data and assets.
The LP Coordinator reports to the Security and Loss Prevention (SLP) Manager responsible for their facility, aiding them in supporting the FC Operations team and other cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesOversee daily workflow, schedules, assignments of security staffAssist managing physical security of site through guarding service, monitor optimum functioning of physical security devices & controlsInspire performance excellence on the part of security service team membersConduct regular walk-throughs, security inspections for assigned facilitiesImplement and ensure adherence to stringent audit scheduling, with findings documented and communicatedEnsure 100% Training of all security guardsPerform initial risk assessments of site operations, propose mitigation measuresRespond, assist in emergency response, workplace incidentsPerform trend analysis, data mining using various in-house tools to detect patterns indicating theft, fraud or abuseIdentify preliminary investigations or policy violations, recognize root cause, construct findings report, assist in developing management action plan for process formulation / compliance / improvementDrive corrective, preventive process changes that impact shrink reduction matrixEvaluate SLP process performance, internal policies and recommend mitigation / optimization areasEffectively assist in managing security services vendor for SLA adherence and conduct training for guarding force on SLP processesTrain staff on SLP related topics for increased awareness and site complianceBuild effective working relationships within team & key stakeholdersBASIC QUALIFICATIONS1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experienceWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidaysExperience in security services, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory controlExperience with warehouse or distribution center servicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; advanced level of computer literacy including proficiency in MS Office packageAdvanced proficiency in written and verbal EnglishDemonstrated ability to deal with business tools & understand business metricsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience working within investigative function / security servicesExperience working with local law enforcementExperience with security systems such as Bosch, Milestone, LenelAcknowledgement of Country: In the spirit of reconciliation, Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
