How will I help?
The Business Analyst role is responsible for understanding business needs and identifying how best to meet those needs. This includes working with business and technology areas to gather requirements for development and management. Business Analysts perform business analysis tasks primarily within the boundaries of (but not limited to) a project and/or program. These tasks can be performed from a diverse range of perspectives including Waterfall, Agile, Information Technology and/or business process management.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Driving the achievement of Westpac’s strategy by working with stakeholders as directed to elicit, analyse, communicate, validate and manage requirements for changes to systems, business processes, policies, information and data.
* Document and track key Finance requirements to support the delivery into the Unite Transformation program.
* Managing requirements through the delivery lifecycle to meet business requirements.
* Providing recommendations for process redesign and improvements and business solutions, enabling changes to processes, policy and/or inform.
* Work with the business stakeholders to translate the business needs into technical requirements for the IT implementation team.
* Identify and define detailed product requirements, integration test requirements and use cases.
* Support the execution of test planning and testing lifecycles to resolve issues.
* Validate the design with the stakeholders to ensure that the design satisfies the requirements using traceability matrix.
What do I need?
* 2-3 years of business process improvement/ re-engineering, data analysis, system functional and non-functional analysis experience.
* For example:
o Business Analyst role in business process improvement initiatives;
o Business Analyst team member in a major end-to-end business process re-engineering or business transformation initiative;
o Business Analyst team member in major information technology delivery projects ensuring solution enables business processes.
* Banking or financial services experience would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of Oracle e-Business Suite, or a leading ERP, is desirable.
