We are seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist for a 12-week contract to join our multidisciplinary team in Regional Southern NSW. You will provide comprehensive Speech Pathology services across a variety of clinical areas within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clinical Services: Deliver patient/family-centered care through assessment, goal setting, treatment planning, and implementation. Provide advice and education to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
* Professional Standards: Ensure care delivery is within professional, organisational, legal, and ethical boundaries, reflecting evidence-based practice
* Assessment & Treatment: Diagnose and manage patients within your scope of practice. Select and implement appropriate assessment, intervention, and treatment strategies, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust plans as needed.
* Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively to optimize patient outcomes, ensuring safe and timely discharge. Communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders, embracing cultural diversity.
* Documentation & Supervision: Maintain comprehensive documentation of care, including progress notes and care plans. Supervise Allied Health Assistants and undergraduate students, contributing to the development of the team.
* Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional growth, including mandatory training and participation in evidence-based practice activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Speech Pathology Bachelor's or Masters Degree required
* Current SPA registration
* Proven experience in delivering speech pathology services across diverse settings
* Ability to work independently and seek supervision as needed
* Commitment to improving health outcomes for the Aboriginal community and cultural competence
* Valid Drivers license
* Full Australian Working Rights
