Overseeing an impressive facility equipped with state of the art technology, we seek to connect a suitably experienced Plant Manager, willing to lead from the front whilst championing continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Head of Group Operations, the successful candidate will provide holistic leadership across logistics, production, safety, quality, procurement and maintenance facets whilst optimizing business performance objectives, service and productivity. Key responsibilities may include though are not limited to:
* Optimal planning, organizing, directing and running of day to day operations through a cost effective lens;
* Supervision of a team, ensuring safe, effective and efficient working practices for all personnel;
* Responsibility for people matters such as cross training, performance management, hiring and adequately resourcing site;
* Embodying a safety first attitude aligned with SHEQ policies and procedures;
* Monitoring production, identifying opportunities for improvement, reducing NPT and overseeing plant and equipment maintenance;
* Analysis, reporting, planning, forecasting and cost control, highlighting preparation of reporting and analysis for global roll up; and
* Coaching and training of employees and monitoring of operational KPI’s;
The successful candidate will form an integral component of the team, being the most senior on site, leading and motivating, maintaining overall compliance and ensuring quality product is turned out in full and on time for distribution. Ideally you will have a demonstrated ability to manage a diverse team through process, utilization of systems and integrity, whilst maintaining clear communication lines with all stakeholders.
SUCCESS PROFILE
* Evidence a minimum of 5 years management within a production environment;
* Tertiary/Degree qualifications in Manufacturing or Engineering and/or Business Management or related discipline;
* Strong continuous improvement background + fluency in LEAN/Six Sigma/5Y/6S methodologies;
* Ability & willingness to complete PEM & D&A Testing to ensure ability to perform the inherent requirements of the role; and
* General computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Excel + SAP (or ERP).
