Regional Livestock Exchange Team Leader Permanent Full Time An exciting opportunity exists for a Team Leader to join Council’s Regional Livestock Exchange team. The position provides supervision and administration and operations of the Swan Hill Regional Livestock Exchange. Reporting to the Roads and Projects Engineer, the position will be responsible for the following: Supervise daily operations of the Livestock Exchange to ensure it’s well-presented for sales. Organise staff, materials, and equipment to complete tasks efficiently, within budget, and on time. Assist in developing annual budgets and monitor financial performance against the budget. Provide advice on livestock handling to Agents, Vendors, and stakeholders according to standards. Advise on marketing trends and promote business growth. Maintain NSQA and MSA accreditations. What you require Knowledge and experience in saleyards management and the livestock selling industry. Knowledge of NLIS, NSQA Program, and animal welfare standards. Experience with OH&S standards in saleyards. Experience using maintenance equipment (welding, grinders, skid steer loaders). Accredited in livestock handling and humane destruction, with a license for firearms or humane destruction equipment. Proficient in industry and office software (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to write concise and accurate reports. You must also be able to work effectively and efficiently in a pressured and at times demanding environment. A current Police Check, no longer than six months old is essential prior to employment. What we can offer you This permanent full time position attracts approximately $74,800 per annum plus paid on-call and overtime (this includes industry allowances). Superannuation is paid at 14.5%.
