Sauers Produce and Garden Centre is leading the agricultural sector throughout the Cooroy & Gympie region. Sauers was originally established in Gympie in 1932, with a rich history of supplying and supporting the rural sector from Northern NSW to Northern QLD.
We are currently offering a great opportunity for an experienced Merchandise Manager to support our rural merchandise team based at our Cooroy store.
This critical role in the merchandise team requires you to be able to build long lasting partnerships with customers and deliver appropriate advice and services using your specialist knowledge of a variety of agricultural products and supplies.
This is a full-time position working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week (and rostered Saturdays). An immediate start is available; however, we are flexible on a start date for the right candidate. The successful candidate may be required to work across multiple stores from time to time.

You will have a high level of integrity and honesty with strong ethics and a passion for customer service. Retail sales experience and a working understanding of agriculture is preferred. About the role
Our customer base is broad, and the focus of your role is to provide a memorable experience for all customers both on farm and in store. In addition, you will:
1. Provide knowledge and support and create ongoing relationships to both existing and new customers; you will be the primary contact for key clients regarding product pricing, logistic organisation and product availability.
2. Process sales order administration, stock control, stocktake, quoting, preparing orders for delivery, store merchandising and store transfers.
3. Maintain branch appearance and ensure the store is presented to a high standard.
4. Provide a proactive solution-based approach to resolving issues.
To be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate:
1. A good level of physical fitness (some lifting is required)
2. High standards of personal presentation and professionalism
3. A current Drivers Licence & MR
4. National Licence to Perform High Risk Work - LF (or willing to obtain)
5. Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical screening
6. Previous success in a similar sales or business development role.
7. Gain satisfaction from converting prospects into new business.
