About the role
As a Youth Worker, you will make a positive and lasting difference to children and young people through the provision of quality care in a family setting while working within the parameters of the Key Assets Practice Framework.
Responsibilities:
* School pickup
* Participate in community events
* Engage in sports/outdoor recreation
* Engage with families
* Take children and young people to appointments
* Provide therapeutic supports
* Implement therapy goals and meet NDIS goals
* Provide written contact reports
About your attributes and experience
* An understanding of trauma-informed therapeutic care
* Experience in dealing with children and young people with complex needs and behaviors
* Prior experience working with vulnerable children and young people aged 0 – 18 years
* Full, clean open Australian driver’s license (not provisional)
* Current First Aid and CPR certification
* Current ‘paid employment’ Working with Children card for WA
* Statutory checks will be completed on all new staff as part of our recruitment process
