Partner with Practical QMS to achieve unmatched business success and growth.Role DescriptionPractical QMS LLC is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented IATF 16949 Quality Engineer for a 6 to 12 month contract opportunity.
This is a hybrid role that will require the candidate to spend 80% of time onsite at client location, and 20% remote.This role involves extensive work with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Process Capability (PPK/CPK).The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all tasks related to APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, Gage R&R, SPC, PPK/CPK, and ensuring all products meet or exceed customer's quality expectations.
To achieve project goals and deliver exceptional quality outcomes, this role will require close collaboration with both Practical QMS leadership and the client's quality and engineering teams.Job Duties:Develop and establish documentation for design records, engineering change documents, design and process FMEA, process flow diagram, and maintain records of compliance.Develop sampling plans and forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.Develop statistical process controls by applying and maintaining applicable control charts.
Analyze data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability studies.Prepare comprehensive reports by collecting, interpreting, analyzing, and summarizing data and making recommendations.Develop training material and conduct training sessions at customer sites as needed.Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering or related fieldA minimum of 5 years experience working in manufacturing for the Automotive IndustryQuality Engineering and Quality Control skillsAutomotive IATF 16949: 2016 CertificationA minimum of 5 years experience leading PPAP projectsA minimum of 5 years experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and CPKExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesQMS TrainingAbility to work independently and in a teamPractical QMS (PQMS) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
