Job Title: Director, Office of the Independent Regulator
Department: Department of Justice
Location: Hobart, South Region
The role of Director within the leadership team of the Office of the Independent Regulator is to provide strategic direction and technical leadership in driving a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. This includes managing a multi-disciplinary team, developing communication strategies, and preparing advice on emerging stakeholder issues.
The position will also lead the development of a Community of Practice related to Child Safe Standards across the Tasmanian community, engage with government and non-government stakeholders, and oversee education activities and presentations on the operations of the Office.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to the Office's leadership team
* Manage a multi-disciplinary team and develop communication strategies
* Prepare advice on emerging stakeholder issues and develop educational materials
* Lead the development of a Community of Practice related to Child Safe Standards
* Engage with government and non-government stakeholders on child safety matters
* Oversee education activities and presentations on the Office's operations
Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications
* Current driver's licence
* Ability to work flexible hours (73.50 hours per fortnight)
