About the Role
The Senior Administration Officer for the Professional Practice Office provides high-level administrative support for the School of Nursing and Midwifery's clinical placement program.
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical Placement Coordination and Administration: Manage student placements in clinical settings to meet curriculum, accreditation, and regulatory standards while ensuring effective collaboration with stakeholders.
* Student Support and Advice: Act as the main contact for students, providing guidance, resolving placement issues, and ensuring necessary support during their clinical experience.
* Stakeholder Relationship Management: Maintain strong partnerships with clinical sites, facilitate communication between all parties, and ensure effective collaboration for placement success.
* Administrative Oversight and Record Management: Oversee administrative processes, maintain accurate placement records, and ensure compliance with university, legal and relevant NSW Ministry of Health requirements.
* Team Support and Supervision: Lead and mentor administrative staff, oversee task delegation, and support professional development to maintain high service standards.
* Event and Workshop Coordination: Organise clinical placement-related events, including orientations and training sessions, ensuring smooth execution and logistics.
* Process Improvement and Program Development: Identify and implement enhancements in placement processes and policies, aligning with best practices and university objectives.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Possession of a degree qualification with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
Demonstrated administrative capability with previous experience within a university or tertiary environment, would be highly desirable.
Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, engage and influence stakeholders.
Excellent operational, organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
High level proficiency in various software packages, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, and timetabling programs (Allocate, Sonia, CELCAT), and video-conferencing tools.
An effective knowledge of the contribution that policies, procedures and data sets make to the achievement of the University's strategic objectives.
Ability to collaborate across multifunctional teams, providing a high level and responsive service.
Proven record in the preparation of high-quality documentation with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
