The team at Triple Zero Victoria is deeply committed to the community it serves and is among the most dedicated and highly skilled in its field.About the RoleReporting to the Manager, Project and Accounting, this role is responsible for maintaining TZV data integrity by ensuring that the general ledger is accurate, complies with applicable accounting standards, legislation, and other government requirements.Day to day responsibilities include:Responsible for all payroll related journal processes, annual payroll tax and Workcover reconciliation and all leave reports.Perform regular review of all balance sheet clearing account outstanding historical balances and preparation of TZV funding allocation and reconciliation to ensure revenue recognition aligned with Australian Accounting Standards.Perform the month end account review and certain processing to ensure journals, bank transactions and all other transactions are accurately captured in the relevant accounts in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and the investigation and rectification of anomalies in the general ledger.Ensure financial transactions comply with TZV policies and procedures, Australian Accounting Standards, Statutory and other legislative requirements.Assist the Manager Financial Accounting and Project Accounting in preparing the annual financial report in accordance with Financial Reporting Directions and applicable Australian Accounting Standards.About YouThe ideal candidate will have experience working within the public sector and have Victorian Government and financial accounting requirements and hold the following skills and attributes:Minimum 5 years proven experience in accounting and/or finance in a medium to large and complex organisation.Demonstrable ability and understanding of accounting concepts and accounting standards.An aptitude for problem solving in the context of accounting and financial compliance.Strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.Proven ability to work independently and in a team.What We Can Offer YouYou will be supporting a critical service to the Victorian community and will be rewarded with a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements and employee benefits including:Employee assistance program for employees and eligible family members.Discounted health insurance, banking services and gym membership.'Memberlink' discount card, accepted by 1,000's of retailers and services providers.Free staff parking at all our sites.Salary packaging options after an initial service period.Triple Zero Victoria is committed to the principles of equal opportunity, and diversity and inclusion for all.
