We have an exciting full-time, permanent opportunity for a ICT Business Analyst to join our Technology team based in our stunning Cowes office. Reporting to the Head of IT Operations, you will enhance and support the network infrastructure. Working with the Infrastructure & Operations Engineer, Software Engineers and Systems/Network Engineers your role will be predominantly a post-sale, service delivery role that work with customers to formulate ICT support and production system requirements, develop ICT support and production system plans
Responsibilities & duties
1. Work with customers to formulate and document requirements for support and production systems
2. Identify, investigate, and analyse support and production system processes, procedures, and work practices
3. Identifying and evaluating inefficiencies and recommending optimal business practices, and support and production system functionality and behaviour
4. Create user and training documentation, and conducting trainings and handovers
5. Plan, design, build, configure, commission, and maintain systems, taking responsibility for configuration management and overall operational readiness of support and production systems, especially environments with multiple operating systems and configurations, and provides troubleshooting and fault-finding services for systems problems.
6. Analyse, develop, interpret, and evaluate complex system design and architecture specifications, data models and diagrams in the development, configuration, and integration of support and production systems.
7. Research, analyse, evaluate and monitor systems for ICT infrastructure to ensure integrated system platforms are configured to operate at optimal performance
8. Assess and recommend improvements to network systems and integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems
9. Provide specialist skills in supporting and troubleshooting hardware, software and systems problems and emergencies
10. Install, configure, test, maintain and administer new and upgraded systems, software database applications, virtual and physical systems, and servers
11. Recommend corrective action plans and improvements in the resolution of non-compliance with standards detected across the managed systems
12. Liaise with hardware and software vendors where required for systems problem resolution and drive these to conclusion
13. Create, perform and collaborate in dailies, weeklies and monthlies scheduled activities including reports, updates, meetings and trainings
14. Troubleshooting, upgrading and providing service support to communication infrastructure systems including but not limited to compute, storage, network, cloud, backups and recovery, security and disaster recovery and business continuity
15. Optimize and automate internal systems to improve the manage services activities efficiency
16. Provide training, and knowledge transfer for the customers and Managed Services team members
