About the role
You will form part of a team providing professional and friendly customer support within our food and retail services at Federation University, Gippsland Campus. You will interact with a diverse range of internal and external clients and visitors within our food and retail space covering a range of functions.
You will:
* provide customer service of food and beverages;
* manage the cash register and be familiar with cash handling procedures;
* maintain the cleanliness of the workplace to ensure both customer and staff safety;
* prepare and clear the dining area both prior and after use;
* maintain food displays with fresh and popular saleable items.
About you
You will work independently as well as part of a team and to tight time frames. You will possess the necessary prioritisation skills and ensure completion of appropriate tasks within tight, fast-paced timelines with good accurate attention to detail.
You will possess:
* a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate;
* demonstrated experience in handling food and cleaning commercial kitchens;
* ability to work individually and as part of a team;
* demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service to customers.
