Legal Counsel - Labour Relations
As a trusted legal partner, you will work closely with the People Business Partner and Employee/Labour Relations teams to navigate complex labour issues. This includes enterprise agreement negotiations, industry awards, collective bargaining, managing union relationships, and Fair Work Commission applications.
You will provide advice on various employment matters, such as hiring and recruiting, discipline, investigations, wages and hours, accommodations, terminations, workforce restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions. Your focus will be on ensuring legal compliance and meeting regulatory requirements.
You will investigate and respond to demand letters, administrative or governmental inquiries and investigations, and collaborate with external counsel on Fair Work Commission applications, litigations, and discrimination claims.
You are responsible for developing and revising standard terms and conditions of employment, advising on employee consultation and government filing requirements.
You will design and deliver employment and labour law training programs for the People team and management, sharing your knowledge and expertise to inform decision-making in employment and labour law issues.
