Venue Manager

Are you an experienced Venue Manager with a passion for overseeing large, dynamic teams? Do you have a background in managing multi-level venues such as bars, pubs, nightclubs, breweries, or restaurants? We are looking for a talented and experienced Venue Manager to join our team. This role requires someone who is not only a strong manager but also an advocate for positive work culture, operational excellence, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and inspire a large team of 40+ staff, ensuring the venue runs smoothly across all departments.
* Manage the daily operations of a large, multi-level venue, ensuring seamless coordination between front-of-house, bar, kitchen, and other departments.
* Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, mentoring staff, driving performance, and ensuring development opportunities.
* Take responsibility for budgeting, cost control, labor management, rostering, and reporting, ensuring the venue is run efficiently and profitably.
* Work closely with the head chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth kitchen operations, maintaining high food quality, and managing kitchen costs.
* Lead marketing efforts to drive footfall, sales, and brand awareness, collaborating with the marketing team to create compelling offers and events.
* Implement and maintain operational systems, processes, and standards to ensure consistency and quality of service across all areas.
* Ensure a superior guest experience, with a focus on service excellence, problem resolution, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience managing large venues with a team of 40+ staff. Background in bars, pubs, nightclubs, breweries, or restaurants essential.
* Strong people management skills with a focus on team development, coaching, and fostering a positive work culture.
* Ability to manage costs, maximize profitability, and drive revenue through effective operational and marketing strategies.
* Experience managing multi-level venues, including overseeing bar and kitchen operations, cost control, and rostering systems.
* Strong understanding of kitchen operations and the ability to work collaboratively with a head chef.
* Ability to remain composed and efficient in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Clear, positive communication skills with both staff and customers.
* Innovative and solutions-oriented approach to managing the venue and handling challenges as they arise.
