Governance and Risk Officer We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team as a Governance and Risk Officer for an initial period of approximately 3 months. This is a temp position with a rate of $56 per hour Super. This role is an immediate start for the right candidate. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and managing delegations and authorisations, reviewing and updating internal policies, and processing updates in the Government Gazette. They will maintain both public and internal governance registers, handle amendments to legislation, and assist with reports, elections, statutory processes, and compliance audits. Additionally, they will provide governance advice to staff, review emergency plans, and ensure all associated requirements are met. The role also involves facilitating and assisting with internal audits and risk assessments, processing insurance claims, and following up on internal audit recommendations. Preferred Qualifications & Experience: Ideally candidates will have experience in local or state government, particularly in governance or risk management roles. The role is diverse, so while experience in both governance and organisational risk is rare, candidates with relevant experience in similar government spaces are encouraged to apply.
