They offer 1-day WFH and are flexible with start / finish. Who You Are: In regard to qualifications and experience; you will be a fully qualified accountant with good commercial acumen. You will be capable of understanding the nuances of a $50m t/o business that has plans for significant growth. You will be inquisitive with a desire to know the story behind the numbers and understand how the business operates at all levels. Your personality and attitude are key; you will be a natural business partner, ready to partner with and understand the Operational side of the business and have the gravitas to challenge the status quo. Your Duties: You will take on a variety of responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and manage the annual budget and rolling forecast incorporating detailed financial modeling, variance analysis, and sensitivity analysis. Project future performance and identify potential risks and opportunities. Prepare comprehensive financial presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and variances from budget and forecast. Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify areas for improvement in profitability, efficiency, and cost control. Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with company strategic objectives to track and measure financial performance across all aspects of the Australian operations. Management Reporting & Financial Control: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Manage the preparation and submission of all required tax returns and compliance reports to relevant Australian authorities. Manage the annual external audit process. Cash Flow Management & Working Capital: Forecast and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs. Monitor accounts receivable and payable, proactively addressing any outstanding issues or delays. Develop and implement strategies to reduce DSO and DPO. Manage banking relationships, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company. Financial Systems & Technology: Manage and maintain the company's accounting systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
