Finance is responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable; financial accounting, budgeting and reporting; payroll and superannuation; and contributes to the financial management of projects.
About the Role
The Senior Business Analyst assists and supports the Associate Director Finance, and Chief Executive Officer with the delivery of value-adding business insights for RMIT Training to facilitate a high-quality student experience. About You
To be successful in this position you will have:
Essential
* Relevant tertiary qualification in data science, analytics or a related field or equivalent experience
* Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering a business wide reporting and data analytics roadmap.
* Experience in leading a small, dedicated, high performing data analytics team.
* Demonstrated experience in using best practice data visualisation techniques to communicate key concepts and value-adding insights in an appropriate (tailor-made to the audience), engaging, and effective format.
* Experience in consolidating information and findings when conducting data assessments and advising how the data could be interpreted.
* Produce high-quality data visualisations using Power BI Dashboards or the like
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and iterate solutions.
* Demonstrated advanced capability in statistical analysis approaches and other analysis techniques.
* Excellent interpersonal, written and spoken communication and customer service skills with the ability to consult effectively and communicate ideas clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
* Highly developed administrative, time management and organisational skills
* Ability to maintain the security and integrity of confidential information and records.
* Ability to work both autonomously, as part of a team and across teams
* Working with Children Clearance
Desirable
* Demonstrated experience working with multiple databases/systems in an education or similar setting including Studylink, SAMS and Intrinsiq databases.
* Knowledge of the relevant standards of the ESOS Act 2000
* Experience in working in a fast-paced educational setting
