Apply now Job no: 501884 Work type: Full time Location: Gold Coast Categories: Food & Beverage / Kitchen The Opportunity:Supervise team members, perform & co-ordinate general and specialised food preparation and cooking duties ensuring a consistently high quality of food product and service while maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic work area.Your day to day:• Apply and monitor food safety procedures to ensure all menu items are prepared and served in line with food safety standards• Ensure that all meals are of a high quality, cost effective and within budget, and that all duties are performed in a manner that complies with Food Safety regulations• Assist & relieve the Executive Chef and Sous Chef as and when required• Responsible for ensuring all kitchen opening and closing procedures are followed• Co-ordinate activities of a team in a kitchen environment ensuring portion control and food quality while maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic work area• Organise appropriate equipment as required in preparation for events/buffets• Receipting & supervising of stock received from F&B Warehouse & storage of stock in accordance with food safety guidelines• Monitor and motivate team members to achieve a high standard of guest service• Conduct training and assess competency of team member's to assist in team development & mentoringWhat you'll bring:• Demonstrated experience working as a Chef de Partie• Effective leadership, communication skills, delegation & guidance• Comprehensive understanding of food hygiene and Food Safety program• Knowledge of customer dietary requirements• Relevant Chef qualification(s) with Certificate III Commercial Cookery• Accredited Food Safety Supervisor an advantage• Knowledge of market trends relating to food and menus• Industry experience in high volume kitchen operationsAdvertised: 06 Nov 2024 E.
