We're seeking a highly skilled Principal Technical Lead (iOS & Android) to join our dynamic team on the Gold Coast. In this leadership role, you'll take technical ownership of the mobile app development team's output, ensuring features are delivered to the highest standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of Westpac's mobile banking experience.

* Be a technical architect: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of systems and mobile development frameworks to inform optimal architecture and solution design.
* Stay ahead of the curve: Industry trends and technological advancements are your playground. You'll identify and recommend changes to application development and integration.

What do I need?
* Proven experience: 10+ years of experience developing native iOS and Android apps using Swift and Kotlin.
* End-to-end expertise: A solid understanding of the entire development lifecycle, from front-end mobile to back-end systems.
* Technical proficiency: Hands-on experience with Swift and/or Kotlin, coupled with a strong grasp of security capabilities and networking frameworks.
* Analytical skills: Advanced problem-solving, troubleshooting, and consultative abilities.
* Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
* Agile methodology: Experience working in Agile environments using tools like Jira and Confluence.
Desired Skills
* Platform expertise: Experience with multiple platforms, including iOS and Android.
* Design patterns: Familiarity with design patterns such as MVP, MVVM, Clean, or Viper architecture.
* DevOps practices: Understanding of DevOps principles, including automation, CI/CD, and cloud technologies.
* Financial services knowledge: Experience working in a financial services environment, understanding applications, and products.
* UI/UX design: A foundational understanding of user interface and user experience design principles.
