Haynes is Seeking Barrier Attendants to assist with race day operations in the Mackay region .
About the Role: Loading horses into barriers quickly and safely Ensuring jockey safety by checking and refitting riding equipment Handling and moving rails, barriers, and other trackside equipment Working in a high-pressure environment with strict time constraints Performing additional tasks as required What We're Looking For: Ability to work under time restraints while ensuring safety and efficiency Strong awareness and ability to make quick decisions in unpredictable situations Physically fit to handle horses and move barriers and rails Previous experience with horses is highly advantageous Position Details: Location: Mackay Region Roster: Aligned with the racing calendar Hours: Typically, 12 PM – 5 PM (varies by race season) Rate: $50/hr flat rate Requirements: Must be able to pass a PEM & DAS if required At Haynes, we keep things simple: We back the talent of our people and land the jobs that best suit their needs.
