Imaging is provided from a new department with excellent imaging equipment staffed by two radiographers and an administration officer. The radiographers provide services across a seven-day roster, so work as a sole radiographer the majority of the time. Both the town and the hospital are friendly workplaces and engagement with patients and locals is a vital part of the role. About the role: The successful applicant will work as part of a two radiographer team at this small rural hospital, but will generally be working on their own. Weekend work (1 in 2) is required as well as after hours on call. The majority of patients are outpatients and from the adjacent ED, and 30% of the imaging undertaken is CT scanning. Full orientation to the department, site, and town will be provided. Regular remote education and support is delivered from the major regional imaging site at Tamworth. Local casual radiographers provide on-call support and leave relief is organised as required. This position is not suitable for new graduates and involves significant on-call work out of normal work hours.
