With an ethos rooted in reliability and flexibility, we help our clients create meaningful connections with their customers.About the roleReporting to the Studio Manager, the Junior Studio Assistant will be responsible for working behind the scenes and supporting the production team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations on all production projects and activities including photography and video.This role goes beyond typical photography assistance; we need someone with a keen interest in photography who also possesses strong hands-on building skills. You will help maintain and manage our photo equipment while actively contributing to set construction, painting, and lighting.You’ll be responsible forAssist Producers in coordinating shoots, schedules, equipment, and other duties.Provide hands-on support during shoots including the bump in and out of sets, equipment, and props.Manage deliveries and coordinate with couriers and vendors as needed.Ensure all equipment and props are accounted for and properly maintained.Paint and finish sets as required, maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.Assist in the assembly and construction of sets, including the setup of props.Provide general assistance to the production crew on set.Run errands as needed including fetching supplies, props, and food.Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Experience, skills, and expertiseWe are looking for someone who:Has previous education, experience, or internships in production, studio, photography, or set building.Possesses strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.Exhibits excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Shows creativity, attention to detail, and a strong willingness to learn.Can thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.Has a solid understanding of Photoshop and Capture One.Is able to work beyond standard working hours, when needed.If you were here in the last month you may have:Helped build sets for the Easter and Mother’s Day campaigns.Assisted with billboard campaign photography.Assisted in a campaign video shoot.Spent time exploring the cool cafes and restaurants in South Melbourne with your colleagues.What we do at Wellcom to support the wellbeing of our people:Provide professional development opportunities to support career growth including lunch and learns, workshops, and hands-on development.Offer an Employee Assistance Program for general wellbeing check-ins or working through challenging circumstances.Give access to our online wellness platform and app designed to support physical, mental, and financial wellbeing needs.Implement recognition and awards programs to celebrate our people and acknowledge their achievements and success.Ready to apply?To submit your interest in this role, click on the Apply button and complete all of the application questions.We warmly welcome applications from First Nations People.
