In this role, you'll:
* Perform maintenance and manual labouring tasks using plant and equipment and powered and non-powered hand tools.
* Undertake road maintenance activities which may include, but are not limited to, pavement repairs, road corridor maintenance, road pavement rehabilitation, and small and heavy patching works.
* Be flexible to work outside of normal working hours and attend callouts when required.
* Have experience working in a high-speed, high-volume traffic environment.
About you:
You are a team-oriented worker who has an eye for detail and is used to working in similar environments. You are a practical thinker, quick learner, and great communicator who enjoys being physically active performing outdoor manual tasks involving the use of hand tools and equipment within a team setting.
You must hold the following tickets/Licences:
* White Card
* Traffic Control tickets (Traffic Controller implement traffic Control Plan)
A higher-class Truck Licence would be ideal but not essential for this position. You must have previous experience as a Road Worker Grade 1-3 level or related civil construction labouring experience.
You will live within a 70 km radius of the Welby works depot and are prepared to work outside normal working hours, attend callouts, and work away from home when required.
