Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) is the statutory body established to plan all elements of the project, procure builders, develop structure planning for SRL Precincts and oversee construction and the other changes that will help transform Melbourne and Victoria.SRL is more than a rail project. It's a once-in-a-generation opportunity to plan for and prepare our city and state to meet the needs of future Victorians, and we can't do it alone. We are on the lookout for people with drive, expertise, fresh ideas and new perspectives to deliver Victoria's biggest ever infrastructure project.About the opportunityReporting to the Lead, Technology Project Delivery, your key responsibilities will include:Taking ownership of specific projects, with primary responsibility for achieving expected outcomes according to agreed deliverables, scope, schedule, budget and quality standards, ensuring the identification and management of risks and issues.Participating in procurement activities such as tenders, variations, renewal and selection of suppliers based on the requirements of the project.Planning, scheduling and executing projects, ensuring project plans, schedules and reporting are aligned with Project Management Office (PMO) framework and governance.Forecasting and estimating cost and internal and external resourcing to support medium- and long-term PMO planning.Engaging with multiple stakeholders across the internal business groups to deliver strategic projects and business solutions to proactively improve the maturity, capability and resilience of the Technology Project Delivery function.Ensuring plans, schedules and tasks are continually reviewed and improved throughout the project lifecycle to production transition.Developing and overseeing change and communications artifacts and plan for seamless delivery and execution of project on impacted users.Effectively closing completed projects and handing over to operations and support.This is a permanent, full-time role. You will work in a hybrid work model with access to a range of flexible working arrangements.About youStrong leadership skills with the ability to coach, guide and motivate the project team. Excellent communication skills with the ability to use various communication media to convey information in ways that maximises understanding of key messages for stakeholders at all levels. Ability to quickly develop relationships and credibility with the business, senior management and technical resources and maintain those relationships for the duration of the project lifecycle. Outstanding project management and continuous improvement skills with a high-level of attention to detail and the ability to create and maintain high-quality project control artifacts. Previous experience managing transition and transformation projects. Extensive experience working in agile and advanced project delivery methodologies with a thorough understanding of information and communications technology and its application to business. Ability to lead multi-disciplinary projects in a construction industry aligned tech-stack. Industry standard project management certification such as PRINCE2 Practitioner and PMP or ability to achieve the certification within 12 months of commencement (desirable).
