Job Opportunity: Psychiatrist Child Youth & Adolescent (Staff Specialist)

We are currently scheduling interviews for a dedicated Psychiatrist Child Youth & Adolescent - Staff Specialist to join a busy Mental Health team in Mackay. Key Responsibilities:
* Clinical Care:
o Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for children and adolescents.
o Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
o Offer expert consultation and guidance on complex cases within the team and to external partners.
* Leadership & Teamwork:
o Lead and mentor junior staff, including registrars and allied health professionals.
o Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
o Engage in continuous quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
* Professional Development:
o Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
o Contribute to research and academic activities as appropriate.
* Community Engagement:
o Work with local agencies and stakeholders to promote mental health awareness and services.
o Engage with families and caregivers to support the holistic care of young patients.
Salary & Benefits:
* Total remuneration value of up to $470,780 (L24) or up to $514,452 (L27), based on experience.
* Base salary between $204,206 - $258,910, depending on classification level.
* Additional Benefits:
o 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.

Requirements:
* Qualifications: Specialist registration with AHPRA

* Vaccination: Compliance with Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements is mandatory.
