The clients of BB include the Banks corporate, regional and agribusiness and small business clients and caters to all product needs including business lending, everyday business banking, share trading & margin lending, home lending and consumer finance.
BB Finance is a divisional finance team within the Financial Services division.
BB Finance has dedicated teams to provide financial performance and analysis services to enable effective decision making by various stakeholders.
Do work that matters Your team is comprised of Finance professionals, who provide capital management and cost management expertise and services to the Business Bank and Financial Services.
This role reports to the Manager BB Finance.
Together with your team you will play a pivotal role across BB finance in terms of:
Strong collaboration with colleagues to deliver outcomes for BB FinanceDelivering monthly reporting requirements to multiple stakeholdersIdentifying performance optimisation and efficiency opportunitiesParticipating in a proactive risk-based cultureProviding meaningful performance insights for the business whilst driving continuous process improvement, achieving an effective governance and control environment, and reporting functionSome of the key areas you will be providing support include:
Performance reportingBudgeting & ForecastingFinancial control including financial risk controlAd-Hoc analytics and financial assessments to deliver better outcomes for Finance and the BusinessPreparation and presentation of monthly performance reports for the BB Leadership Team and Group Finance, as requiredSee yourself in our team Key areas of impact & contribution include:
Delivery of timely, accurate and insightful Capital and Loan Impairment Expense (LIE) reporting for the Business BankHalf and full year end reporting including internal and external financial reporting related to Capital, RWAs and LIEDelivery of forecasting and budgeting of Capital and LIEPerformance of ad-hoc analytics to deliver business-focused insight related to Capital, RWAs, LIE and profitability metrics to drive timely decision-making by the Business Bank and its leadership teamAnalysis of profitability metrics including revenue, expenses and LIE and the impact of asset and liability growth on profitability metrics such as Profit After Capital Charge (PACC) and returns on capital such as Return on Equity (ROE) and Return on Target Equity (ROTE)Analysis of capital drivers and the impact on profitability metricsRisk Weighted Assets and Regulatory Capital analysisSupporting the delivery of a robust financial control environment, including reviewing of manual journals and reconciliations in alignment with Group policiesEngagement with BB Finance to ensure a proactive and transparent approach to riskCompliance with group wide policies and delivery protocolsIdentify and facilitate process improvement initiatives to enhance the control environment and improve the efficiency of operations.We're interested in hearing from people who have: Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent stakeholder management skillsCommercial analytical ability and experienceKnowledge of APRA prudential requirements, capital adequacy, credit and AASB 9 loan impairment expenseExcellent Financial Control experienceHigh degree of problem solving and analytical ability with a close attention to detailSelf-motivated with an ability to work to deadlines and without supervisionSound investigative/probing skillsSQL, Alteryx and Tableau experience is an advantageFinancial Services industry experienceAbility to collaborate & work as part of a teamExperience in a busy, time pressured environmentPost Qualified ExperienceWorking with us means Whether you're passionate about customer service, driven by data, or called by creativity, a career here is for you.
