About the opportunity Assist with the delivery, storage, and stock management of groceries and food supplies for the aged care facility. Ensure that all food items are stored according to health and safety standards, maintaining proper temperature and hygiene. Stock shelves with food items, including fresh produce, dry goods, and refrigerated items, ensuring easy access and organization. Ensure that grocery orders are accurate and delivered on time, coordinating with suppliers as needed. Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and report any shortages or excess inventory to management. Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with the kitchen and care team to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of residents. What you'll bring ESSENTIAL: Previous Experience: Experience in grocery retail, food handling, or a similar environment is often preferred. Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding of food safety practices, including safe storage, handling, and preparation of food. Inventory Management: Ability to track and manage stock levels, perform stocktaking, and handle inventory-related tasks. Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and suppliers. Attention to Detail: Ability to organize and ensure products are stored correctly, accurately record inventory, and monitor expiry dates.
