A vacancy exists for a Food Services Manager / Head Chef to join us at Nundah Private Hospital; a newly built mental health facility scheduled to open in early January 2025.

A snapshot of your role: The Food Services Manager / Head Chef role manages and efficiently operates the Food Services Department.
This role encompasses key areas of patient meal distribution, function catering, stock ordering, staff rostering, administration and management of a small team.
Your day will see you engaging in a wide range of activities and responsibilities whilst exercising a high degree of initiative, judgement, flexibility and problem solving.
This position is responsible for: Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of all dietary requirements of patients.Involvement in all elements of kitchen duties dependent on daily requirements.Updating and managing the Food Services Plan.Co-ordination of team resources, rostering, competency and training.Providing strong leadership for the Food Services team.Oversight of kitchen safety measures, work methods and quality control.Maintain the department within the allocated budget.Manage stores including receipt, dispatch and storage of perishable and non-perishable food supplies.Our ideal candidate will meet the following criteria: Experienced Chef.Relevant Food Safety Supervisor Certificate / recognised qualifications.Demonstrated knowledge and practiced implementation of quality systems, Food Safety Programs, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Food Safety Standards, National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and Dietary Guidelines.Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to negotiate with relevant internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrates understanding of Work, Health, and Safety (WHS) and the positive patient experience.For enquiries about this opportunity please contact .
