Overview of the Role: The Handy Hands Contracts Supervisor joins a team of professionals in the horticultural industry undertaking grounds maintenance, landscaping, weed management, reticulation and pool servicing. The candidate must have strong horticultural and organisational skills, be experienced in leading a team, driving performance and quality work with an excellent work ethic. The role involves supporting teammates in their responsibilities with a positive 'can do' attitude. Main Responsibilities: Leadership Oversee the delivery of all Contracts driving improvement and maintaining excellent horticultural standards and delivery of horticultural practices. Initiate new works and support quoting, delivery and business growth. Lead and support a diverse work team to deliver multiple contracts across multiple sites and disciplines. Deliver on-site training to upskill the team across multiple disciplines. Effectively schedule work and roster staff to ensure workload is managed and contractual requirements are met. Provide effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to manage staff workload, client expectations and contract delivery. Develop, implement and enforce all safety standards, verification of competencies, safe work practices, monitoring, record keeping and refresher training for all staff in line with company policies and the WHS Act. Contract Management Ensure service excellence and efficient delivery of services related to the ongoing operations of Handy Hands maintenance and service Contracts. Ensure contract compliance through a thorough understanding of all contract terms and conditions. Provide excellent customer service by being responsive to needs, queries and complaints from external and internal customers. Investigate and scope future works opportunities with direction from the Operations Manager. Technical Provide advice and undertake works based on sound environmental and economically sustainable practices. Ensure annual maintenance and asset schedules are created, maintained and completed. Follow approved procurement practices observing any preferred supplier agreements. Maintain all Handy Hands assets including fleet, plant and equipment. Deliver and record all contract documentation including prestart requirements for daily tasks. Monitor and maintain all staff licences and qualifications and recommend and deliver training courses to upskill staff. Maintain up to date and accurate records for the organisational requirements. Minimum Qualifications: Horticulture or relevant related trade certificate/s or extensive experience in the horticultural field. Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven ability to motivate teams to achieve high performance. Previous contract management experience working within clear parameters, KPI's and budgets. Project planning experience with a proven ability to work to agreed schedules and delegate tasks to appropriate personnel. Demonstrated ability to use initiative, and effectively manage multiple programs. Previous experience in a similar role. Department of Health Pesticide License. Knowledge of pool chemistry, maintenance, analysis and problem solving. First Aid Certificate.
