Through many decades of offering their unique state-of-the-art solutions across a number of industries such as aerospace, defense, general manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics, and mining, they continue to expand their national operations both through acquisition and partnerships.The company is currently seeking an experienced Workplace Health and Safety professional to join their growing team on a permanent full-time basis.The Position…Based in their Carole Park facility, and reporting to the General Manager, you will work closely with senior management to meet and exceed the health and safety objectives and drive the ongoing implementation and improvement of the company's safety culture.Key Responsibilities:Regular inspection of the facility operations to ensure that safe job practices are followed, protective equipment is properly used, machine/process guards are in place, etc.Investigate or facilitate the investigation of all accidents and near miss occurrences, identification of trends and causes.Ensure that corrective measures are implemented following an incident investigation.Ensure safety policies, processes and systems are updated in line with legislation to support the ongoing monitoring and reporting of safety performance.Participate in the safety induction and training of all employees.Instruct all new employees on job appropriate safety practices and maintain employee personnel training records.Develop safety recognition programs and incentives as appropriate.Chair the plant safety committee and maintain HSEQ reports along with other required documents.Ensure the facility maintains the proper training in First Aid and CPR.Manage inventory of safety related products including PPE, medical & first-aid supplies, videos, etc.Coordinate inspections, tours, and visits by other safety and health regulatory agencies.Manage all injury related claims and return to work activities.Maintain appropriate communication with immediate management, corporate, and third party vendors.Perform other duties as required.The Ideal Candidate…To be considered for this role, you will possess the following:Experience in a similar role.Relevant qualifications in Work/Occupational Health and Safety.Sound knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation.Demonstrate and develop a working knowledge of OHS/WHS Act and Regulations and Codes of Practice and Company safety policies and regulations.Must be or become qualified in First Aid and CPR.Return to Work Coordinator experience.An ability to work with other team members and to build positive team-based relationships.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.High attention to detail and an ability to work unsupervised.The Benefits…Benefits of working with this company include:Competitive salary package, reflecting the value of your skills and commitment.Employee Bonus - annual profit share bonus.Growth & Development opportunities – you'll gain hands-on experience and develop your skills further, with access to training & career advancement.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Reliable, stable & permanent full-time role.Onsite parking.Apply Now…If you have the capabilities and experience as mentioned above, then please apply via the "apply" button and our team will contact you as soon as possible upon successful application.All applications will remain strictly confidential and ONLY short-listed candidates will be contacted and invited to interview for this exciting role.#J-18808-Ljbffr
