Nowra High School is located on the South Coast in the Shoalhaven Region. We have 905 students supported by more than a 100 teachers and support staff who work collaboratively with our Parent and Carers and the Nowra Local AECG to provide the best possible educational outcomes for all students.

Specific Selection CriteriaApplicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
1. Demonstrated successful teaching experience, with the capacity to lead the implementation of processes and procedures which meets the diverse learning and wellbeing needs of students.
2. Demonstrated capacity for strong, collaborative, and supportive leadership of a diverse and dynamic team.
3. Demonstrated ability to work as an integral member of the school executive to build relationships and engage staff, students, and the wider community.
General Selection Criteria1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policiesConditions
