The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has an opening for a Human Services Program Specialist in the Children's Developmental Disabilities Program. This is a statewide position and will report to the nearest DHW location.
We are looking for a forward thinker who is passionate about improving services and systems designed to maintain children with developmental disabilities living in their own home. They should have a strong background with knowledge of services and service delivery systems directing home and community-based care for children with developmental disabilities.
This position may be eligible for telework after successful completion of probation and necessary training.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
Maintain and update written procedures for statewide Children's Developmental Disabilities (DD) Program.
Responsible for development and monitoring of program policy and procedures, and oversight related to assessment and authorization of Children's DD services.
Serve as the subject matter expert for all billing questions; maintain accurate operational procedures; and develop changes to systems and operations to improve proficiency.
Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts; conduct reviews and summarize results. Collaborate and problem solve within the Department of Health and Welfare and with external partners.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must possess all the minimum and specialty minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum and specialty qualifications for this position.
Considerable knowledge of social, psychological, or rehabilitative services, principles, and methods.
Experience working with public social/rehabilitative service delivery systems.
Experience planning, implementing, and overseeing a community-based social/rehabilitative service program.
Preferred experience:
A human services bachelor's degree with Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) preferred.
Experience with quality outcome monitoring and continuous improvement strategies.
Considerable knowledge of Developmental Disabilities service provision.
Experience developing, writing, and delivering training on technical materials.
