About the role
Fixed Term Temporary Part Time, 38 hours per fortnight opportunity to effectively provide an efficient and accurate administrative service through the timely provision of medical transcription and typing services, along with a range of valuable support duties as directed as part of the administrative team within the General Surgery Program. Successful applicants will be required to provide confidential, efficient and effective client focused administrative support to specialist Consultants, Staff and Patients who utilise the various clinical and non-clinical services within The Prince Charles Hospital.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
1. Provide medical typing and transcription support to the staff specialists. Make corrections and/or alterations to typed correspondence as required and assist with other typing and administrative support functions as required.
2. Communicate with medical and other staff to ensure delivery of the dictated transcripts within prescribed time requirements.
3. To provide administrative support within the General Surgery program - filing, updating patient information on HBCIS and other databases as required and referral processing as directed.
4. Provide effective and flexible administrative support by delivering reception, booking service and office administrative services utilising contemporary office equipment and software packages specific to TPCH eg: HBCIS, ESM, Smart Referrals, QFlow, CCI, Inteleconnect, The Viewer, Outlook and various Microsoft office suite programs.
