Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Summary of Role:
The Senior Project Manager will lead a large architectural package for our valued client, involving strategic planning, resource management, and ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
* Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle.
* Ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Budget and Cost Control:
* Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, forecasting, and financial reporting.
* Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures.
Team Leadership:
* Lead and manage project teams, including site managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other staff.
* Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and provide guidance and support.
* Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Stakeholder Communication:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
* Maintain regular communication to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment.
* Facilitate meetings and presentations as required.
Quality Assurance and Control:
* Ensure all construction activities meet quality standards and project specifications.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance.
* Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
Risk Management:
* Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
* Respond to and resolve any issues or challenges that arise.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
* Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and building codes.
* Implement and enforce health and safety protocols in line with Amspec standards.
* Facilitate safety inspections and address any safety concerns immediately with the site teams.
Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, reports, and records via our Project Management system Procore.
* Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Amspec Senior Management team.
* Ensure all project documentation is completed in line with our operational standards.
Essential Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
* SMSTS.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
* Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and best practices.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and building codes.
