We are highly committed to cultural awareness and safety through our service provision, ongoing professional development for staff, and quality improvement for service delivery through evidence-based practice and interventions.We are currently seeking a pro-active Specialist Support Coordinator to join our enthusiastic team in Cairns.The RoleThe position will be working with clients with complex care and medical needs across the lifespan, to identify and address barriers to implement their NDIS plan. The Specialist Support Coordinator is required to build relationships with clients, their family, disability services organisations, clinical staff, and various government departments, including health, education, communities, and justice.The Specialist Support Coordinator encourages a collaborative approach by stakeholders to ensure supports are delivered in a person-centred and timely manner. The Specialist Support Coordinator assists with building a foundation for best practice care, staff training, support, and intervention for clients, ultimately achieving positive and sustainable outcomes following a period of crisis.Key RequirementsA bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing or other Allied Health);Demonstrated well-developed oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills;Demonstrated ability to work well independently and cooperatively as a member of a team;Established ability to listen actively and demonstrate empathy;Well-developed organisational skills, the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks;Working with Children card; NDIS Worker Screening; Police check (within 6 months); current Drivers Licence and roadworthy vehicle;Computer literacy – efficiency in Microsoft Office;Experience working with clients with dual diagnoses. Experience in Forensic Disability or Forensic Mental Health is highly desirable;Demonstrated knowledge of NDIS and experience working with NDIS Participants;A willingness and ability to travel by car, 4WD, and/or light aircraft to rural and remote settings;Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with an interest in indigenous advancement;Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) people and their support networks.Eunoia Lane Culture and Benefits:We have a strong focus on professional development, support for our people, and a commitment to life-long learning.
