This role is perfect for an experienced finance professional who enjoys structure, accuracy, and financial leadership in a growing SME.
This is a full-time hybrid position based in the Northern Beaches, NSW.
You will work closely with the Operations Director to provide financial clarity and cash flow stability, ensuring the business is making the right strategic decisions based on accurate, reliable financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cash Flow Management – Oversee and maintain accurate cash flow forecasting to ensure financial stability and support growth.
2. Financial Strategy & Business Insights – Deliver clear, data-driven financial recommendations to support business decision-making.
3. Budgeting & Forecasting – Lead the budgeting process, provide accurate financial forecasts, and ensure financial discipline.
4. Process Optimisation & Controls – Streamline financial processes and reporting structures for efficiency and scalability.
5. Performance Monitoring – Track key financial metrics, identify trends, and implement improvements.
6. Compliance & Reporting – Ensure adherence to tax, payroll, and regulatory requirements.
7. Executive Support – Act as 2IC to the Operations Director, offering strategic financial insights and guidance.
8. Team Leadership – Oversee and manage an offshore finance team handling Xero reconciliations, payments, and payroll.
About You:
1. CPA/CA qualified with 10+ years of experience in finance leadership roles.
2. Proven expertise in cash flow management, financial reporting, and business analysis.
3. Highly structured, diligent, and detail-focused, with a strong ability to provide accurate financial insights.
4. Experience leading finance teams and ensuring efficiency in day-to-day accounting.
5. Ability to support the Operations Director with financial decision-making and long-term financial planning.
6. Tech-savvy, with experience in Xero (preferred) or other cloud-based financial platforms.
7. Sound experience with presenting financial insights to executives, investors, and partners.
8. Stable and committed, seeking a long-term finance leadership role in a growing SME.
