full-time Civil Construction Surveyor based in Wollongong, NSW.This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects that shape the infrastructure of the Illawarra and South Coast regions.As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and success of civil construction projects ranging in value from $3-10 million, including residential, industrial, and commercial subdivisions, large-scale road construction, and critical infrastructure developments such as water and sewer reticulation systems.You'll be involved in earthworks, drainage for ensuring that our projects are built to precise specifications and providing critical surveying expertise to ensure the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Reviewing tender documentation and interpreting plans and specifications Establishing control points, benchmarks, and GPS localisation for construction projects Performing survey modelling and set-up for construction Converting.dwg design files into survey files for set-out and machine guidance Conducting field set-outs, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction staking Managing survey equipment, including total stations, GPS receivers, and levels Preparing detailed survey reports and maintaining accurate records Collaborating with project teams to resolve survey-related issues Managing quality, safety, and environmental aspects of the role Ensuring compliance with safety protocols during fieldwork Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and colleagues About You To qualify, you will need a Tertiary Surveying qualification and a minimum of 5 years experience in civil construction surveying.A background in the Civil Construction industry and experience with earthworks, pipelines, and roadworks is also essential.Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued: Experience with GPS machine control Experience preparing design models for machine guidance Proficiency with TOPCON total stations and GPS equipment Familiarity with Magnet, Civil3 D, and Auto CAD software Strong knowledge of surveying principles and techniques A construction white card and commitment to health and safety Knowledge of Australian standards Strong communication,
